iDaft 2.0.0.1
For those who own a Windows Phone device these apps are more difficult to find because they come in smaller numbers, but fans of electronic music can have a field day with iDaft, an app that brings them closer to the sound of Daft Punk.
Practical layout with a neat look to it
The application greets you with a simple screen where written in bold, fluorescent letters are the titles of two major hits of the band: "Harder Better Faster" and "Technologic".
Once you make a selection, you will enter the corresponding soundboard area where all the sample buttons are neatly arranged and quite generous in size, so you will have an easy time playing around with them.
Play the beat and add the samples
For the first music track you have at your disposal 3 different styles for the sound samples, the first two, High 1 and High 2 being available for all 16 samples, while the third one, Low can be used only for the last 8 samples.
The "Technologic" samples cover two pages, each with 32 entries and there is also a common sample with the song's name that appears in both screens. Playing the beat for any of the two tracks is a one tap job, so you can start mixing on the spot.
There is a sort of glitch you will come across when changing the sample pages or styles, more precisely the last selected sample will play automatically if you switch quickly the main areas. Overlapping the samples for the same tune is possible and this is a nice touch because the first sample will not be stopped to allow a second one come into play.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface has a clean and simple appearance, the commands are neatly placed and very responsive, so all the users would need are some extra customization options to make the layout and the overall look more to their liking. |
Function8
The app works pretty well, without any lags, but there are some glitches here and there. Fortunately, the quality of the sounds is very good for every sample and main beat. |
Security9
The utility doesn't access any secure areas of the system, but it still needs to look into the music and photo libraries for some reason. |
Battery8
The power consumption is moderate for this application, so even if you use it for a few hours to play the tracks and mix the samples, the battery usage will remain average. |
Price10
Daft Punk ans will surely have a good time playing around with this utility while they expect more tracks to be added. |
Compatibility8
This app has to be installed only on Windows Phone 8 and above devices in order to have it function properly. |
