Windows Phone Explorer 2014.1107.435.4845
Windows Phone Explorer is one of the utilities that can provide a lot of handy features for anyone to use in handling the data stored onto the mobile device or in accounts associated with cloud storage services.
Neatly organized front-end
The looks of this app are decent, with a nice theme going on and some average graphics all through the utility, while the content is kept neatly organized and ordered according to specific criteria.
Going through long lists of files, with the thumbnail preview activated will have as result a minor delay in loading the items, but these lags are short enough to remain only noticeable and not become bothersome.
On the downside, there are some advertisement banners that are constantly changing and appear inside the various sections of utility you are going through.
Manage files and folders on the go
Windows Phone Explorer offers quick access to all the items stored inside the phone's internal memory and also on the SD card, if one is available. It comes with a couple of viewing options, so you can have the files and folders shown as a list or in a grid.
At the top of the main screen you can see the amount of free space out of the total storage available on your mobile device (SD card included). Adding new locations to the main list is easy to do and for each item, be it a folder or a simple file you can carry out copy, cut or delete operations.
Batch selection and processing are supported and with a long press on any file you can access some extra functions like renaming or sharing the respective items.
Basic OneDrive integration
With this utility you can also handle files kept in the cloud, as it allows you to access and save files from your OneDrive account. Also, you have the possibility to upload items, download files or remove them from the online container without any difficulties.
Selecting a ZIP archive (currently the only compressed format supported by the app) you can view the packed files and open them with one tap.
However, note that the file compression and the password protection are some features that you will be able to use only after purchasing them individually.
