Weather View is one such application and it is targeting Windows Phone users worldwide who are interested in receiving weather information onto their handsets.

Moving from one section of the app into another is done seamlessly, without any delays or other kind of glitches. A noticeable annoyance is the ad banner shown in the lower side of the screen which only a purchase will remove.

Short and long term forecasts on the go

With Weather View you can check out the prognosis for the current day or for the following period, with a maximum time span of 10 days.

The data is presented for intervals of 3 hours, with basic details including temperature, pressure, wind speed and direction as well as the general aspect of the weather. For the medium (3 days) and long term (10 days) forecasts the time intervals are of 6 hours.

Pick favorite locations and get the weather onto the Start screen

This application can host up to 5 places for which you can view the detailed weather conditions and a neat feature is the "Group view" option that enables you to have all the stored places one next to the other to access their forecasts immediately.

The live tile is another neat addition and it will put on your Start screen the details for the hourly and long term forecasts, one category per each side of the tile.
