Windows Phone users have at their disposal several notepad alternatives and other types of similar apps and among them there is VoltNote, a utility that aims to make the process of writing a couple of notes very simple for everyone.
Dull appearance, focusing on functionality
The looks of this application are plain, without adornments of any kind, as it seems to be made only for practicality and ease of use. The sombre color scheme cannot be modified and the only animations you will see inside VoltNote come from the continuously changing advertisement banners.
The main commands of the app are conveniently placed in the menu that resides in the lower part of the screen, while the options for managing the notes are revealed when opening one such item and holding pressed a button in the main screen.
Quick note creation and management
As soon as you open VoltNote it will bring up the text editor, so you can start typing immediately. Once this is done, with a tap on the "Save" button you will send the note in the separate area where they are stored and can be viewed.
The memos are displayed one above the other in the "Saved Notes" area and for each of them you can view the date and time when they were created. To send a note to the preview and edit area, you can simply swipe it to the right from the main list.
Share notes and remove unnecessary ones on the spot
To erase several items you will have to tap on the left side of the screen, next to any note, when inside the "Delete Notes" view. This will make the checkboxes appear and allow you to mark the memos for removal.
A neat feature of this application is the ability to share the notes on social networks you subscribed to. What's more, each memo can be sent as an email or as a text message.

The interface of VoltNote lacks elements of visual appeal, but the practicality it offers to its users seems more valuable. The tiles on the Start screen offer quick access to the editor and to the note storage as well. Unfortunately, the ads are somewhat of a bother, as they can be disruptive when writing down the notes. |

The ease of use and multiple sharing possibilities offered by this app are its strongest points, but there is a lot more to it than this. The abilities to edit the notes or delete several of them are quite valuable for anyone who wants to manage the entries stored by this tool onto their phone. |

VoltNote seems quite safe to use, as it only needs access to the phone and owner identity information, as well as to the phone dialer, but this only to have the note sending via SMS function operational. |
