UniShare 0.9.3.1
If you are looking for a simple method of changing your status on more than one service at a time, you might want to try onto your Windows Phone a neat app that goes by the name of UniShare.
Friendly GUI, with a functional layout
This utility comes with a practical design, where visual appeal is present, but usability seems to be the main concern. The graphics are neatly drawn, clean and accurate, with the only customization available referring to the color of the interface which can be set to match the accent color of the system.
Moving through the various sections and menus of the application is done without delays or other kind of glitches, while the functions and commands are all placed conveniently, to ensure a pleasant experience through ease of use.
After a couple of uses, you will come across some reminders that prompt you to rate and review UniShare, but they can be deactivated and dismissed for good with only two taps.
Choose the services and add the status to be published
The utility offers a straightforward way of sending your status to your social pages, but you have to login and authorize the app for every one of them.
By default, UniShare integrates with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, while other networks can be unlocked after purchasing one of the available packages.
The text input area is pretty generous and it can accommodate all the content you want to add, but there is a useful counter shown, right above the field where you add the text and it will let you know if you are getting close or have gone passed the 140 character limit for a status message.
Quick configuration with optimization advice
The application will automatically shorten the links you add inside the status message box, but if you want to keep the full length of the URLs you can deactivate this behavior from the settings area.
An option that will have a negative impact on the power consumption is "prevent of the lock screen while sharing" and you are warned about this when activating it. Nonetheless, you can use this feature in conjunction with the "close app after sharing" setting, so unnecessary battery usage will be prevented to a certain extent.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The rather classic design of the interface, with smooth graphics and a single customization option is enough for UniShare to score some good points here. |
Function7
The concept is not new, yet well implemented, with several useful features, but the most interesting functions are locked. |
Security10
Even if it needs to access quite a few areas of the system, the app does this only for those that are related to its functionality. |
Battery6
The power consumption is relatively high, but it can soar to extreme levels if the app is kept running continuously with some features active. |
Price8
There are many social networks and a photo sharing feature that are locked in the free version, requiring purchases to become available. |
Compatibility8
The utility can only be installed onto the latest Windows Phone powered handsets that are running at least version 8.1 of the OS. |
