Going by the name of Turbo Camera this utility provides a simple way of capturing hundreds of snapshots in a few seconds and then stitching them together into animated GIF videos.
Simple GUI with a neatly structured layout
The interface of this app consists of the live view from the back or front camera on your device, with the few quick commands it keeps conveniently placed for quick access. The quality of the preview depends on the resolution you choose and it can be very poor until you tap on the screen to focus the camera.
Going through the long list of thumbnails that represent the captured photographs is smooth and without lags. The configurations can also be made speedily, thanks to the well organized layout of the "Settings" area.
Take snapshots lightning fast and turn them into animations
When using the app with the lower resolution option (640x480, 4:3), the speed with which it takes the pictures is amazing. If you activate the setting for showing the frame per second (fps), you will see just how quickly it moves, grabbing more than 30 pics per second.
Turbo Camera claims to have a limitation of maximum 25 photos, but involuntarily it will pass that mark on its own, another proof of the amazing speed it is capable of. When trying to put together a GIF animation with the captured pictures, you will come across the other restriction, the one that prevents you from using more than 3 frames for a single compilation.
Saving the images locally is also possible, but in order to have the snapshots stored in the Camera Roll you will have to purchase a license. To share the GIFs you create you have at your disposal OneDrive and the email service you use onto your phone.
