SysInfo 8.10.0.1

A simple application that provides accurate system information about your Windows Phone
Peeking under the hood of your mobile device might give you the necessary information to help you make a general idea about the capabilities of the handset.

Among the relatively numerous applications that are dedicated to such purposes and which can be easily found inside the Windows Phone Store, SysInfo provides a simple means of viewing the most important details about the hardware and software environments.

Plain and dull appearance

The utility is meant to provide facts and figures and is less if at all preoccupied with the visual aspect, so the GUI is pretty much dreary and completely lacking any appeal.

The content is kept well organized inside several sections and the data is very easy to read thanks to the consistent structuring that is kept throughout the app. Browsing the various areas of SysInfo is done smoothly, as there are no delays of other kind of similar glitches in sight.

Unfortunately, there is a visible drawback that follows you around in every corner of the app and it is represented by the advertisement banners that appear in the lower part of the screen.

Quick scans and precise info at a glance

The utility identifies the system components and reads the system data as soon as you start it, so you will receive the summary of the phone general info in the main screen in a split second.

Moving quickly to another area of the application you can see how the info is being added as the component scan is complete. The general characteristics of the screen, memory, storage and phone camera(s) are presented as lists, but the contained data cannot be copied or shared in any way.

The supported sensors are only detected as present or missing depending on the type of phone and there is no detailed info in this respect. Some basic battery data is included as well, alongside cellular and WiFi network details.

If your handset is paired with another device through a Bluetooth connection, SysInfo displays its status in the corresponding area and you can also view the smart (Low Energy) devices that are active nearby.

Should you need to quickly access the WiFi, cellular or Bluetooth system settings, inside this application you have at your disposal the necessary shortcuts that will take you directly to those areas.

Bottom Line
Design / UI3

The app has a disappointing look overall, so it loses a lot because of the monotonous front-end.

Function7

SysInfo provides some useful info and the data it offers is quite accurate, compared to other similar apps, but there are too few details inside.

Security9

The utility will look inside every system area to retrieve the information it needs, but this is to be expected from such an app.

Battery6

The battery usage is rather high for this application as its power consumption goes well beyond moderate levels.

Price9

The feature set provided by SysInfo is available fro free to all users, but there are some averts inside as well.

Compatibility10

Made to work well on most Windows Phone powered handsets, this application requires version 7.5 or higher of the OS.
