Snap It! 1.0.0.1
To alleviate this potential issue, installing Snap It! onto your Windows Phone powered device might be just the thing you were looking for.
Easy to use interface, with a neat look
The application has a pretty neatly designed front-end, with a stylish pattern on the background, as well as with all the functions and tools close at hand for easy configuration and use.
There is a generous space allocated to the camera live view, so you can comfortably take the pictures you want, while having right before you eyes the profile settings you chose for the selected shooting mode.
Going through the menus and individual profile settings of Snap It! is fluent, but there is a visible nuisance that appears in several sections, namely some animated ad banners.
Create front and back camera profiles
This utility enables you to make some presets of your own with minimal efforts and the great thing is that it supports both the front-facing and the rear camera of the phone it is running on.
There is a default profile ready-made for you and you can edit it to your liking and save it with a different name or you can make others from scratch.
Depending on the capabilities of the front camera, its profiles will offer fewer customizations compared to the main camera, but still, you can configure a really surprising variety of parameters.
Detailed configuration and quick access to the profiles
With Snap It! you can pick the desired scene mode and white balance preset, select the flash mode and the ISO value, as well as use the built-in slider to adjust the exposure compensation.
Other options include a lot of preset exposure times you can choose from, the auto focus range and illumination mode, while the last setting corresponds to the capture resolution.
There is a slight problem with this last parameter, as the menu at the bottom of the screen comes to cover the last setting, which becomes impossible to select.
As soon as the profiles are ready, you can pin them to the Start screen with one tap, so when you need to take a picture in one of the modes you configured previously, simply press the corresponding tile and the camera will start with the settings you defined.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The decent appearance of the utility, with its efficient layout is affected quite a bit by the presence of the adverts. |
Function8
There are plenty of useful configurations that can be made with Snap It!, but it doesn't offer the possibility to deactivate the flash and the smallest supported resolution cannot be selected. |
Security8
There are a couple of sensitive system, areas in which the app needs to look into even if they are not related to its functionality. |
Battery4
If the app is used for longer periods of time, the very high battery consumption will deplete the battery faster. |
Price9
If the feature set that this utility comes with is completely free, getting rid of the advertisement banners is not. |
Compatibility9
Anyone who wants to try out the application onto a Windows Phone handset can do so only if the OS version is at least 8. |
