Secured Image Vault 1.0.0.5
Those who own a Windows Phone handset have a varied choice at their disposal and among the possible candidates you can try an app that has a suggestive name: Secured Image Vault.
Nice looking GUI for comfortable use
This application comes with a pretty simple interface that has some nicely designed graphical elements, but the overall appearance is more practical than attractive.
Moving among the various sections of the utility is hassle-free and the content inside the image folders or the video and audio areas is loaded without any visible delays.
A noticeable drawback becomes evident when loading the private images, as the pics appear in their full size and you cannot zoom or pan to make the preview fit the phone screen.
Import pictures on the fly and view them
This utility is able to stash away all the pictures you keep onto your phone and since the access to the app is password protected, the same applies to the content stored inside.
You have the possibility to select multiple images and have them imported all at once. However, there is a restriction in effect here, as you will be able to add at most 10 images without having to pay for the full version.
By accessing the "Show Private Images" section you will be able to go through the photos the app has in store and if you want to restore them to the initial location you can use the "Save" button from the main menu shown at the bottom of the screen.
Security options at a glance
Secured Image Vault relies on a basic password to grant access to the protected pics and you are prompted to set it up on the first run. You can also choose a security question and set the right answer that will help you recover the passkey in case you forget it.
Unfortunately you cannot create albums, so all the images added inside that vault will remain huddled together, lacking any organization possibilities.
A word of advice for those who think about switching to another app while this one is running: close Secured Image Vault first. When the utility is selected from the list of recently used applications it will not ask for the passcode, so your photos will be exposed.

With a quite considerable thirst for power, this utility drains the battery relatively fast as the usage levels are high at all times. |
