Secure Photo Gallery 1.0.1.0
Windows Phone users can now enjoy a pretty cool tool of this kind called Secure Photo Gallery and which is made to ensure the images and videos are stored safely and cannot be accessed by anyone except for their rightful owner.
Beautiful interface with a pretty practical layout
This utility comes with a friendly GUI that sports some very well designed graphics that are consistent all through the app.
Not too nice too look at are the advertisements that appear once in a while and fill the whole screen, while after a few uses some prompts to rate Secure Photo Gallery will also come into view.
The visual customization is possible by choosing one of the different themes available in the dedicated area of the "Settings"menu, but note that not all are free, most of them requiring a purchase of the Pro version.
Capture or transfer images and videos to the vault
The app can host all the images and clips you want to safeguard, so you can use the default containers and also create some new folders of your own, to better organize the content.
With Secure Photo Gallery you can take photos or record videos that will be automatically stored inside the corresponding directories, but the limitations of the operating system make importing movies impossible, while for the files stored onto the SD card a special extension must be added.
The video player component that is built-in the application works very well and is pretty useful for viewing the clips you recorded with the help of this application. There is also a photo slideshow feature you can enjoy and a [pretty well equipped image editor part of the app's toolset.
Full protection spectrum
Secure Photo Gallery is bent on offering a really safe place for your important images and videos, so it goes to great lengths to ensure this. It support 3 types of security credentials, so you can configure a password, a PIN code or a pattern for logging in, with a recovery method that relies on the email address you specify.
The app can also run in "Decoy Mode" after you set up a fake login, so if you are forced to open it, simply use that access mode to open Secure Photo Gallery and have the stored files hidden from view.
The "Camouflage" option will hide the app's tile under a different guise, so it may be overlooked by someone looking for personal photos. The failed attempts to break inside are recorded and you will see that person's face as it is captured by e front-facing camera at the exact time the login was unsuccessful.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The app has a really nice appearance, with smooth backgrounds and graphics, custom themes, but also annoying and ugly full screen adverts. |
Function10
Secure Photo Gallery comes with a lot of very useful features inside and even if some are locked and require a purchase, those that are functional deserve all the appreciation. |
Security8
The application requests access to several sensitive areas of the system, but for a few of them it doesn't have a good reason to do so. |
Battery5
The power consumption is significant and the utility eats up a lot of energy, so the battery usage remains at very high levels. |
Price9
Despite the fact that it has several locked features and displays some annoying ads, overall the app has a very good value. |

Designed to accommodate the needs of many Windows Phone users, the application needs to be installed and run onto handsets powered by version 8 or above of the OS. |
