This application offers a pretty simple GUI, with a clear layout and common graphics that have only a pinch of color here and there.
The content is kept well organized inside the main screen and there is plenty of room inside the text input box for you to write down your SMS messages.
All the commands and functions are well within reach and going through the few sections of Scramble My Texts is fluent and without any delays or other similar flaws.
Straightforward text input, encryption and decryption
With this utility you can write as much as you want inside the corresponding box and there is a specialized count inside the main screen that will keep you posted about the number of characters remaining until you reach the limit for an SMS message (160 characters).
The scrambling and descrambling procedures are easy to carry out, as a single tap is required for any of them and no configurations are necessary. There is a possibility to change the encryption key, but this has to be unlocked by purchasing the Pro version.
Quickly select contacts and create preset messages
A nice feature of Scramble My Texts is the ability to create a list of contacts so you can keep close at hand those with whom you exchange messages more often and pick them when you want to send out an SMS for one or more recipients.
There is another cool function you can enjoy while using this app, namely the "Quick Messages" that are some preset texts you create to have them inserted in the text input area with only two taps.
Both these abilities are limited to 10 entries each in the free version and this restriction is also removed upon purchasing the Pro edition of the application.
