ScorePad 1.0.9.0
Mobile users can turn to their handsets and put to good use one of the many specialized applications that facilitate score keeping and ScorePad is one of those that were meant especially for Windows Phone users.
Less attractive and more practical interface
From the first launch you will surely notice the very simple and dull look of the app, which seems to be tailored only for functionality, with the graphics left as simple as possible.
The content is fairly well structured and the data input is done with ease, thanks to the generous size of the numeric pad that appears when adding or subtracting points.
A hindrance that you cannot miss is the presence of some animated ad banners that reside in the lower side of the screen and are continuously changing.
Easily m
anage scores for up to 6 players
ScorePad enables you to keep track of the points accumulated by half a dozen participants in any kind of games. Appending and deducting the points are the only operations you can carry out and both are done using a large virtual numeric keypad.
Tapping the "+" or "-" signs will allow you to add or subtract the needed number of points for the selected player or team, depending on which type of game you are scoring.
Save scores and reset the game on the fly
To clear the scores or add a new set of players for a different game you have at your disposal some dedicated functions that are hosted in the main menu placed at the bottom of the screen.
A great thing about this utility is the fact that it will remember the scores when you close it and display them on the next start, so you can carry on with a game that might have been interrupted or otherwise suspended.

Bottom Line
Design / UI6
The aspect of this application is not too enticing from the visual point of view, but it has some advantages from the perspective of the layout and they bring it a few points here. |
Function5
Suited mostly for a few types of card, board or word games, ScorePad has a very limited set of features and supports only 6 participants, so it could do with some improvements in terms of functionality. |
Security8
The app seems fairly safe to instal and use, but users should note that it still requires access to the phone dialer and owner identity for no apparent reason. |
Battery9
This utility is very friendly with the system resources and needs a very small amount of power to run, so the battery usage remains at very low levels. |
Price6
Especially for those who play card games, this tool can be a really good helper, but many other types of competitions cannot benefit from it, so its overall value is less impressive. |
Compatibility10
Any Windows Phone user can have this application installed and functioning properly onto their handset as it works with all operating systems from version 7 up. |
