Remember Passwords 2.0.1.0
To provide mobile users with some alternatives for safeguarding their logins Windows Phone numerous applications have been developed and Remember Passwords is one of them.
Effortless usage and dull looks
The somber and simple interface of this application lacks any visual appeal. Instead, the intuitive layout provides quick access to all the modules of the app, so that you will not lose a moment trying to get to the desired section.
The main commands are neatly placed in the menu that is hosted at the bottom of the screen, so you can access them with a single tap at all times. Also, browsing through categories and stored logins is done without any glitches.
Modifying the orientation of the device results in the app adapting the display mode, as it supports both landscape and portrait orientations. Unfortunately, there is a visible letdown, namely the presence of some flashing adverts that appear in certain areas of the utility when least expected.
Add new entries on the fly
With the help of Remember Passwords you can create new entries on the fly and they will be assigned to the categories you pick when adding the items in the app's database.
On the downside, there are only 4 groups you can opt for and there is no way of creating custom ones, so if the data you want to add does not fit the "finance", "bills" or "social" categories, it will have to go with "others".
Edit and manage the stored data
The application offers a straightforward method of adding and taking care of your credentials, so you should have no problems in adding the necessary information and then editing or disposing of it if needed.
All you need to do is basically fill in the required fields and provide a name for the respective entry, input the username and password, then optionally type in the URL address before saving the data.
The utility can open the listed webpage to allow you to immediately log in to online services, but the credentials will have to be added manually.
An important drawback become visible as you switch to another app while using this utility because from the list of recently used applications anyone with access to the handset can see the content of Remember Passwords. Also, it doesn't require the passcode when opened from that list.

Bottom Line
Design / UI3
The GUI displays the sections of the app against a black background and has some poorly designed icons for the "Edit" and "Delete" functions, as well as some ads. |
Function4
The ease of use is no enough to compensate with the lack of functions and for the essential security flaw that may disclose all the information stored inside. |
Security7
Given the utmost simplicity of this app, it is quite unusual that it demands access to several system areas for no good reason. |
Battery8
The resource consumption is relatively low, so the reduced battery usage is one of the few positive aspects that can be mentioned in relation to this utility. |
Price9
All the features are free to use but there are some advertisement banners spread around the application. |
Compatibility9
Ready to run on most Windows Phone devices on the market, this utility only needs version 8 of the operating system to function well. |
