Plant Guide 1.9.2.7

A simple tool that can help in identifying any plants you may encounter
Spending time in nature usually means getting in contact with a variety of plants and getting to know them may take a long while and a bit of help from a specialized source of information.

In case you wan to find out on the spot which kind of tree flower you have in front of you, having Plant Guide at hand, installed onto your Windows Phone could be just what you need.

Pleasant GUI, with a good structuring of the content

This utility comes with some nice looking backgrounds and decent graphics that make a fairly positive first impression. The various areas of the app contain the information about plants and everything is neatly organized under relevant sections and categories.

Moving through the application is smooth and without any delays, only when selecting a specific plant for which you wan to view the information will Plant Guide take a second or two to open the Wiki page. On the downside, the adverts shown in the main screen are quite annoying as they will keep on changing.

Easy guide for identifying plants and useful extra information

This tool is primarily meant to help you find out what kind of plants you have before you and it can do this in a straightforward manner. More precisely, you will have to follow a few easy steps and make some choices by answering a few questions that will get you closer to the answer in a few moments.

The alphabetical classification of plants that is at your disposal in a separate screen relies on the common names the plants have, so as to make them easier to find. With Plant Guide you can also read a bit about poisonous plants and learn how to discern among the various pants with compound leaves.

Most of the data is taken from Wikipedia, with very few exceptions and as a bonus, the app features a flashlight mode and quick access to the maps to identify your current location.

Since the application needs to retrieve the data from the Internet, the constant use of the system resources for this task is reflected by a moderate power consumption.
