Pixelate 1.0.0.0

Quickly personalize your photographs with a handful of effects right on your Windows Phone
Not few are those who like to add an original touch to the pictures they take with their mobile handsets and this activity can also be fun, especially when having the appropriate tools at hand.

For those who are only looking for some nice filters to apply onto the images stored inside their Windows Phone devices, Pixelate offers a few neat enhancements that can be added on the spot.

Simplicity and ease of use

This utility comes with a pretty uncomplicated appearance that consist mostly of the live view from the main camera and the preview of the captured snapshot when in the editing mode.

All the controls are easy to access and use, as all you have to do in order to reveal the filter adjustments is to tap the screen while in the image editing mode.

A minor drawback is that the time they stay on screen is very short, so you have to make the modifications without pauses between operations.

Going through the various filters is smooth and there are no delays or other kind of flaws in this respect. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a letdown related to the fact that you cannot zoom in the photos loaded inside Pixelate.

Load saved pics or capture snapshots on the go

The utility is ready to help you take pictures on the spot and have them modified with the effects you think are most appropriate for each photograph. Loading already saved images is also an option, so the app is ready for any input mode.

The actual processing of the selected pics is very simple and quick to complete as the utility takes care of everything as soon as you pick the effects you want to add.

Effortless image customization

Every single filter of the 4 that are included in the package provides some sort of options you can modify and in order to access these controls you only have to tap on the photo when it is in the editing area.

You can tinker with the image brightness and color saturation, choose the lomo vignetting level (Low, Medium or High), pick the sketch mode from gray and color, as well as activate the distinct edge detection for the "Cartoon" effect.

Once you decide which filer to apply, simply press the "Save" button and the image will be sent to the "Camera Roll" folder on your phone.
