Sharing images captured with the phone's camera or simply stored onto the mobile device is a pretty common activity that many users choose to carry out pretty often, some even on a daily basis.

Windows Phone users have quite a few apps at their disposal for sending out their photos, but there is a special utility meant only for Lumia handsets that offers a different way of sharing images and which goes by the name of PhotoBeamer.

Tidy GUI with a simple layout

The app offers a really clean interface that uses as backgrounds the pictures you share and has a pain layout, without any eye-catching graphics as it doesn't come with too many functions.

There is only one option inside the main screen and it is in plain sight, easy to access and use, while during the image showing session inside the main menu you will find the other options PhotoBeamer puts at your disposal.

Scan a code to connect to display the pictures

The application uses a relatively simple and innovative way of making the photos stored inside a Windows Phone available. Thus, all one needs is a screen connected to a device that can open a webpage inside a browser application.

Navigating to the PhotoBeamer website (www.photobeamer.com), you will only have to scan from inside the app the QR code displayed onto that page to activate the connection and start browsing through the pics on the remote screen.

Fitting the QR code inside the highlighted area on the phone's display may be a bit difficult until you get the hang of it and the secret to trigger the detection faster is holding the device a bit farther from the screen where the code is shown.

Swipe through the album on the fly

This utility allows you to control the photo displaying mode, as you can flick faster through the images or stop and look for a while at a certain picture.

There are no timing options or anything that you could find when using slideshow capable apps, instead you can perform a single adjustment, namely have the image currently on display align to the upper side of the browser window, but this will reduce its size a bit.

As the images you share through this app can be downloaded from the browser app used for displaying them on the remote screen, you can clean the cached pics from the PhotoBeamer servers by accessing the "Settings" menu.
