Pharma Dictionary 1.0.1.14
One of the tools that were designed specifically for such purposes is Pharma Dictionary and it aims to cover a good deal of drug names and many other words that are not related to the field of medicine.
Uncomplicated front-end, with a nice look to it
This utility offers a smooth, high quality background and some really simple graphics inside the results area, which has a more monotonous appearance. Moving around the list of results is done smoothly at all times and the items it discovers based on your query terms are presented in alphabetical order.
The transitions between the main screen and the other areas have no noticeable delays, but there is a small hindrance that you will surely notice, namely the prompts to rate and review the app that appear when you start Pharma Dictionary.
Fast search for both pharmaceutical and general dictionaries
This utility offers you not one but two information resources, so you will be able to look for the meaning of medical terms and medication information, as well as use a general purpose dictionary that offers some extra definitions.
If you lookup the same term in both dictionaries, you will notice that the one meant only for the drug names offers more elaborate explanations. On the other hand, the same dictionary responds to queries that are not necessarily medicine specific, but have only a marginal relevance from this respect.
The general dictionary seems to be pretty well stored but, just as is counterpart, it only covers a limited set of terms. Unveiling the definitions is an easy job, but unfortunately there is no possibility of sharing the content or marking then saving the information displayed inside Pharma Dictionary.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The GUI has a generally decent appearance, but the graphics need a lot of work in the results area, where the looks are dull and completely uninteresting. |
Function7
The app manages to show a good deal of details about most terms, but its database is clearly limited as it fails to recognize some relatively well-known medications. |
Security10
Pharma Dictionary plays it safe and leaves all the sensitive areas of the system untouched, so it manages to score top points in this respect. |
Battery9
This application is very friendly with the system resources, as it consumes a very small amount of energy while running, so the battery usage is very low for most of the time. |
Price8
Since it offers everything free of any cost and facilitates the searches in a straightforward manner, the app has a good value on the whole, but some improvements are nonetheless necessary. |
Compatibility8
This utility will work well on any device that runs Windows Phone 8 and above and has a minimum screen resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. |
