Music Hits 1.4.0.0
Windows Phone users have a varied selection at hand and among the numerous applications dedicated to finding and saving music tracks there is one called Music Hits that offers a complete set of features for a few bucks.
Decent looking interface with a practical touch
The friendly interface of this application has a decent look, not too flashy and most of all focused on practicality. The main menu offers instant access to the numerous sections of the app and moving back and forth through the GUI has a smooth feel to it.
The nice backgrounds and the neat way in which the content is displayed will make the experience worth the time. Also, the functions and commands are placed conveniently inside the GUI, so they can be accessed with ease.
The featured album covers serve as backgrounds and there are quite a few images of good quality inside the app. Nonetheless, loading the thumbnails for the albums shown inside the various areas of the utility may take a few seconds, as they are fetched from online sources.
Browse the database to find cool music
Music Hits has several sections you can check out to see the latest top albums, the latest releases and you have a list of musical genres at your disposal. Also, the built-in search engine makes it a breeze to locate artists and songs inside the database.
The utility supports multiple selections, so you can enqueue several tracks to be played on the spot, to be sent to a playlist or to have them saved onto your phone.
The playback controls are pretty neat, as they include all the usual commands, plus "Random" and "Repeat" functions, as well as a slider you can use to move back and forth inside the playing audio file.
Unfortunately, there are many limitations for the trial version, so you will not be able to have more than 2 songs in the "Now Playing" list or transfer more than 5 tracks. Also, the number of playlists you can make is restricted to a single one.
Save songs and make ringtones with ease
Downloading the selected items is a breeze and inside the "Downloaded music" section you will see all of them and you can manage every item.
Thus, you have the possibility to import the tracks into the media library, you can modify the song info and create custom folders in which to keep your transferred songs.
A most useful extra ability of Music Hits is the ringtone creation feature. You can select any portion of a song, preview and keep it as a ringtone, as long as the duration doesn't go above 39 seconds and if you pay to actually unlock the saving function.
