MultiBench 2.4.1.1
MultiBench is a dedicated utility that can be used to examine the potential of any supported Windows Phone powered device. Easy to use and packing several useful functions, this app will show its worth from the first time you run it.
Neatly designed and easy to use GUI
The interface of this utility has a decent look to it, with nice icons and colored performance graphs for comparisons. Also, going through all the menus and scrolling the list of results stored in the "History" section is smooth and without glitches.
Unfortunately, in every screen of the app you will come across scores of animated advertisements that reside in the lower part of the screen.
Run multiple tests and compare your phone's performance with other devices
The benchmark consists of several tests that can be carried out all at once, or in sequence, one at a time, using the "Custom" mode MultiBench puts at your disposal. The utility is able to check the processor and memory performance, as well as the data transfer rates and the graphics capabilities of the phone.
As soon as the tests are complete, you will be presented with the results and, in order to give some sense to those the numbers, you can compare your handset's figures with those obtained by other Windows Phone devices. There are separated graphs for each test, as MultiBench doesn't record overall scores.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The nice look and smooth feel of this application are enhanced by the well designed graphs and the well organized layout. However, the adverts manage to spoil with their insistence a lot of the good impression. |
Function10
MultiBench is well prepared for carrying out the most important tests any device should go through, so users can make a clear idea about the performance their phone is capable of. The ability to store the results and review them to see if there are any notable differences at various stages in the life of the handset is largely welcomed. |
Security7
The app needs to look into the owner and phone identities, access the phone dialer and multimedia libraries, even if these areas of the system are not related with the actual functionality of the utility. |
Battery6
As is the case with most benchmarking tools, the resource usage is as high as it can get because the app needs to check out the full potential of each system component it analyzes. This translates into a high power consumption during the tests and low to moderate when viewing the results or comparing them. |
Price9
A very good deal, as it gives free access to all the functions it has, MultiBench has a single dent in it armor, namely the ads that take away some of the value. |
Compatibility9
This reliable benchmark for most Windows Phone devices will work very well on any 7.5 and more recent version of the operating system. |
