Money Manager 1.0.0.0
For those who want a simple tool to help them keep their transactions organized and the budget under control right from their Windows Phone devices, an application like Money Manager could be just the right choice.
Less polished interface, made for practicality
This particular application is less visually appealing than most similar tools, with graphics that are rough around the edges here and there, but this is because it focuses on practicality rather than good looks.
The color scheme may be rather monotonous, but there are some nicely designed charts inside and the information is presented in a very easy to read manner all through the app.
Accessing the various sections of the app has some small lags, but these are less annoying than the advertisement banners that appear in most areas you will need to visit.
Add expenditures and financial gains on the go
With the help of Money Manager you can easily add as many income and expense entries as needed in order to preserve a strict control over your finances. The transactions are logged carefully and the exact date and time when they were added is displayed.
For the expenses, things are a bit different because you have to create an expense book first and add inside it the corresponding entries. Picking the desired currency is also possible when creating this item or later on, if you use the editing option.
All the expense books can be pinned to the main screen of the app, but you should note that only two such catalogs can be created in the trial version.
Money charts and cloud backup at a glance
The transactions can be monitored from their corresponding modules or you can check out the overview offered in the "Bar Chart" area. Here all the expense books are combined and the chart appears only in landscape mode, for a better fit and if you slide your finger over the bars you will get some extra details.
A neat ability of Money Manager is the OneDrive backup and restore functionality that you can put to good use and safeguard your data by transferring it to the cloud and having it ready for restoration in case something happens with the app.
The app also enables you to carry out some currency conversions from the dedicated section and there is also a feature that you can activate and secure the access to the utility with a numeric PIN.

Bottom Line
Design / UI6
The GUI has a common appearance, that doesn't stand out through anything, with less polished graphics and some ads inside. |
Function8
This utility is meant to help users record and analyze their expenses and incomes, with OneDrive integration, but there are some limitations and lacks. |
Security7
The inquisitive nature of Money Manager works against it as it requires access to several areas of the system that are not related with the actual functions. |
Battery4
The application has a considerable power consumption and this keeps the battery usage at high levels at all times. |
Price8
On the whole, the app is a good tool to have but unlocking the full version requires a purchase, not to forget about the adverts. |
Compatibility10
Well prepared to run on a wide range of handsets, this application needs only version 7.5 and above of the operating system to be installed. |
