This application provides a good diversity of alternatives in terms of content, so you can look at the most important subjects of the moment or pick a certain category from the dedicated area to focus only on a specific kind of information.

The "Top Stories" section hosts the most important articles that make the headlines all over the world, while the other categories are dedicated to topics like technology, business, science or health, to name just some of them.

Accessing the articles is pretty straightforward, but there is a catch here, as only the first paragraph of each news story is presented inside the app. This means you will have to use a lot the "Go to source" button hosted at the bottom of each article.

Open images separately and view the news in brief

With Mobile BBC News you have the possibility to view the pics attached to each article in a separate screen, but note that all of them are of low quality, so you would be better off viewing the images at the source.

A special section of the utility is "Brief Updates" where you are presented with a list of headlines and when tapping any of them you will have at your fingertips a quick link to the respective article on the BBC website. The subjects are mixed, so they cover most news categories.
