For Windows Phone aficionados, Lumia Clock is an application that may bring them the looks they are looking for and some extra functionality that can be quite welcomed in certain situations.
Nice mixture of colors inside a plain interface
This utility offers a visual style different from most similar apps and is relies on several color combinations that are made to give a fresh look to the hours, minutes and seconds counts.
Each selected color scheme is applied immediately, so you can check it out in an instant. Choosing one should be an easy task as all of them are placed inside the same section of the app.
Confusing list displaying method and annoying adverts
Unfortunately, there is no possibility of changing the arbitrary order in which the themes are shown, at least for the first dozen of entries, as the rest seem to be following an alphabetical arrangement.
The ever-present ad banners are quite irritating as they appear in the upper side of the screen and hinder the view in both landscape and portrait screen orientations. Some nagging prompts to rate the app will also appear, this time only when starting the utility.
Basic clock functionality, with a built-in countdown
Lumia Clock is able to display the current time in 24-hour format, which is the default setting, but you can activate the 12-hour format with AM/PM markers from the main menu hosted at the bottom of the main screen.
Tapping the "Mode" button will toggle the other feature this app has in store for you, namely the countdown tool. It has only a few commands, more precisely pause, stop and start, which can also function as a reset control if pressed when the countdown is running.
