Judging by looks, this application is pretty plain and with a dull aspect, but it cares more about function, as it becomes evident if you look closely at its layout. The prompts that ask you to buy the app are extremely annoying as the pop up out of the blue very frequently.
The graphics may be less appealing, but there are some customizations you can apply to each note by choosing a different background and text color to make them easier to locate when browsing the note vault.
Of great help is the ability to adapt to changes in screen orientation, so you can write your notes in landscape mode and thus enjoy much longer lines than when the device is held vertically, in portrait orientation.

The app offers a straightforward way of adding text content to the protected storage, so with a couple of taps you can have a new note added to the database.
Basically, all you have to do is write down anything you want in the generous space offered by Locked Notes and simply exit the area when you finish. The notes are saved automatically and they will appear inside the main list in the precise order they were created.
The date and time stamp assigned to each note make it easier to find the entries you know to have created in a certain day, but some more ordering and filtering options would be great. Also, users could do a lot more if the possibility to create custom folders would be included in the feature set.
Simple password management
This utility uses the powerful AES 256-bit encryption to make sure your texts are inaccessible to others, unless they have the access code which you create at the first launch.
The password can be modified at any moment form the dedicated area of the main menu and it is possible to include an optional hint that will help you recall the access key form your memory whenever necessary.
