For those who find the default Music app on Windows Phone not enough for their expectations, they have several alternatives to try in the Store.
One of the utilities that might just fit the bill is called GoMusic and it offers a basic, yet useful set of features that can make this simple task more pleasant.
Uncomplicated and easy to work with GUI
A pretty neatly designed interface allows you to browse the online database and find the music you want to get. Moving around songs, artists, playlists and albums is a breeze because there are no lags or glitches of some sort.
You can add your personal touch to the appearance by selecting the accent color from the dedicated section of the "Settings" menu, but note that several colors are locked and only by purchasing the Pro version will they become available.
Most of the controls are conveniently placed in the lower part of the screen, while the main menu and other sections can be accessed by swiping left or right.
The advertisements that are shown inside the configuration area come in the form of some ad banners that are displayed in the lower side of the screen.
Browse the library and play your music on the go
GoMusic detects on its own all the audio tracks stored on your phone and makes the necessary arrangements on its own, to have them neatly arranged under the corresponding categories and in alphabetical order.
When tapping any item form the song, artist or album list displayed on screen you will set off the playback and the entire set of songs that is shown in that area will be queued. Also, as soon as the selected track start playing, the app will start to look for lyrics if an Internet connection is available.
Useful playback controls and extra features
The utility comes with a useful search function to help you get to the preferred songs in a jiffy, while the commands for controlling the playback include "Repeat" and "Shuffle" buttons, but lack a working slider to move inside the currently playing track.
You can view the elapsed and remaining time in the lower part of the screen while in the "Now Playing" area and there is another cool feature waiting to be discovered inside GoMusic.
This function is the "Sleep Timer" that you can use to set the interval after which the music will cease playing and it is to be found also in the "Settings" section of the application.
