Windows Phone users have at their disposal many such utilities and among them there is one called Funny Facts that, as its name suggests, comes with some entertaining content, which can also have an educational value, as the information is also accurate.
Well organized front-end, made for ease of use
The appearance of this app is quite simple and without too many visually appealing elements of graphical design. The background on which the facts are presented is the most nice looking component of the interface.
The facts appear neatly structured inside an alphabetically ordered list, so you can choose the ones to check out on the spot. Moving from one fact to another is done by swiping horizontally, but, for some reason, the navigation is not always fluent.
A more visible letdown is the presence of some ad banners that are displayed in the upper part of the screen and keep on changing at a very high rate, which makes them really irritating and disruptive.
Pick the category to read facts from and share the fun on the go
With Funny Facts you get almost 30 different categories in which you can find several thousands of entries you can go through. You should note, though, that some of those facts, especially those with statistical references can be outdated, as they haven't been updated in years.
Distributing the content can be done with one tap and in your preferred way: by email, by SMS or through the social networks you subscribed to.
Keep your preferred facts at hand and on the Start screen
The application allows you to add all the information you like to the "Favorites" area by simply tapping the corresponding button from the main menu that is hosted in the lower side of the screen.
Should you care to have these particular items or other random facts shown on the Start screen, Funny Facts supports this feature and enables you to configure the live tile in no time.
