This Windows Phone app is all about dance and electronic music, so fans of these genres can certainly befriend it after a test run in which to check out several points of attraction, visually and feature-wise, this application has to offer.
Beautiful looks and easy to access functions
The interface of DigiBeats is impressive, to say the least, as it comes with animated backgrounds and tiles. Moving through menus and playlist items is quite smooth, but when adding tracks to the favorites list or in playlists, the prompts and confirmation screens appear with a bit of delay.
Able to function as a lock screen provider as well, the app is regrettably filled with ads and coupled with the prompts to rate, this nags can quickly become really obnoxious.
Easily find new mixes and play them
The selection of music tracks presented in the home screen is quite inspired, so you will be able to browse through all the hits or use the built-in search engine to try and locate some of your preferred artists and DJs.
When it comes to the audio quality offered by DigiBeats, for some of the songs the sound is far from what you would expect. Also, most video links from the dedicated area cannot be loaded inside the application, either because are no longer available or because they require you to go directly to the source site to view them.

The design of this app is very appealing and the effects, animations and cool backgrounds will catch the eye of any user. The ads, prompts and occasional lags in bringing up the confirmation boxes make it lose some points, though. |

The ability to create playlists and add items with one tap is to be appreciated, as is the possibility of sharing music tracks on the fly. The misses in the video section and in sound quality prevent DigiBeats from scoring better here. |

Even if it is mostly a tool for searching and playing music, this app wants, for some reason, to peek into every corner of your device, as it requires access to phone and owner identity, appointments, contact list, location services, SD card, video and image capture. |

As nice it looks, the application simply drains your battery when you start to play your music, so in a few hours you will have to plug the phone into the electrical outlet to bring the power back up. |
