On the list of applications that are dedicated to such purposes and which can be easily found inside the Windows Phone Store, Device Information provides a simple means of viewing the most important details about the hardware and software environments.
Less attractive and more practical front-end
The utility is meant to provide facts and figures and is less if at all preoccupied with the visual aspect, so the GUI is pretty much dreary and completely lacking any appeal.
Fortunately, browsing through the various sections of the app has a fluent feel to it and there are no lags or other similar glitches. The information is well structured and presented in a clean and easy to understand manner.

However, if you want to check out all the information you will have to pay a few visits to the corresponding categories neatly stacked in the dedicated area of the utility.
As soon as you open it, the application scans the handset and populates the designated areas with the info it can gather. Thus, in the main screen you can view not only the manufacturer and model data, but also firmware and hardware versions, OS details, memory (RAM) details and unique IDs.
This information is accompanied by other details regarding the power source, system up time and graphics data about the Windows Phone device.
Data accuracy and component testing
Unfortunately, you will soon identify a major letdown related to Device Information, more precisely the inaccuracy of some of its readings that begins with the screen resolution.
The so-called "Culture Info" is listed inside a separate module, while a neat addition is the media information that is related to the FM radio capabilities, media player status, as well as photo and audio file details.
The network, GPS, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope and camera data is not shown in the trial version, while refreshing the information in any of the section of the app is disabled.
