Day Counter 4.1.2.5
For those who want to always have at hand this type of information, a specialized utility like Day Counter could be the right choice, especially since this one is full of pleasant surprises in terms of available customizations.
Tidy looks with an informative and practical layout
This application comes with a pretty well designed interface, where the well designed graphics and discreet animations blend very well together.
There is a generous space allocated to the counters and there are 3 main categories with the contained elements neatly stacked each under its corresponding column.
Opening the events is a bit laggy, as it takes a couple of seconds for the selected counter to be displayed in full. A more visible nuisance comes from the ad banners that are shown in the lower side of the screen and are continuously changing.
Add and personalize counters on the fly
Day Counter offers a pretty much effortless way of adding new counters, as all you have to do is assign a name and a starting date and time for the event. Tap and hold the freshly created counter in side the main screen to pin it to the Start screen or delete it.
However, there is a lot more you can do to each item you add inside this utility because once you select and open the event, you will have the possibility to access the visual enhancements and edit the foreground and background colors or choose another icon to be displayed onto the tile.
You also have the possibility to pick an image from the local storage to have it displayed onto the tile, but this will not apply when going for the wide format. Instead, the maximum size tile can show the entire time frame, expressed in years, months, weeks and days.
Streak monitor and neat sharing options
With Day Counter you also have the possibility to keep track of the days that have passed since you renounced to a bad habit or picked up a good one, so you can see the streak in the form of a nice graph.
Should you care to share with your friends any of the contained counters, the app has several choices for you to pick from. Thus, you can send the small or wide tile inside a message (email or SMS) or via social networks, but you can also share only the textual data in the same manner.
