Plenty of customization possibilities for a great front-end
This utility is equipped with a nice set of visuals and its interface looks very well, no matter the theme - background combination you go for. There are several skins you can apply to change the looks of the compass, while swiping the background or double tapping inside the main screen will let you modify the wallpaper.
The needle is quite responsive and adapts pretty fast to each movement, while the coordinates displayed in the upper part of the screen are also adjusted according to your current position. Some ad banners will also appear and they are shown at the bottom of the GUI.
Establish your the current position and view it on the map
Compass comes with a very useful feature that makes it possible for you to integrate the orientation capabilities of the app with a map view. This is the hybrid mode that you can activate form the "Settings" area, so you can have the compass shown on top of the map where your current location is highlighted.
In case you want to view just the map, simply tap the corresponding button from the main screen and, using GPS data, the utility will pinpoint your whereabouts. An important drawback is the fact that you cannot navigate around the map, as it is static and, on top of that, it takes a few seconds to load in the first place.
Some neat features of Compass are the ability to display the coordinates in several ways and one of the options is to show the exact address in the same area of the main screen.
