Convenient layout, made for functionality rather than visual appeal
The looks of this utility are quite decent, as it features a neat interface were all the articles are kept well organized and easy to access, while the categorization of the info helps a lot as well.
Some annoying prompts to try out some other apps made by the same developer will appear frequently until you deactivate them. Full screen ads and flashing banners are also displayed inside the app, spoiling the whole experience quite a lot.

You can select as many as you want from the list the application presents you with and the categories will be neatly ordered in two columns so you can open any of them with a single tap.
Swiping to the left or to the right you can switch the articles and in order to open any of them you will have to use the "Read" button hosted in the main menu that is available in the lower part of the screen.

Accessing the video content available on the BBC website is easy to do because the app offers a "Play" button inside each article that contains such media.
The quality of the streaming video is decent, but the images shown inside the categories of # BBC NewsReader are pixelated and less appealing to the eye.
More important is the ability to send out article links to spread the news to your friends and this can be done in several ways: through email or SMS messages or via your Facebook pages, as the utility supports all these methods.
