Archive password 1.0.0.0
For those who need one such utility to install onto their Windows Phone, one of the possible candidates is Archive password, an app for which the name says it all.
Uninspired look for a simple front-end
This application has little if anything at all to offer from the visual perspective, as its interface is lacking any element of graphical design that would seem even remotely pleasant to look at.
All the content is kept in a list displayed inside the main screen, with all the details in plain sight, for anyone to see them clearly. The selection of the entries is done easily and the highlighted item will be colored instantly, to make it easier to distinguish from the rest.
As you open the app and get ready to input the access code and username you will surely notice the ad banners that load in the lower part of the screen.
Effortless data input and copy procedures
Archive password works in a very simple manner, so you should have no difficulties in operating it. Adding new entries to the list takes only a couple of seconds since all you have to do is input the service name then fill in the username and password fields before confirming the fresh addition to the database.
In case you want to log into one of the stored accounts from your phone, just press for a while on the corresponding entry from the main list and from the menu that appears choose the info to be send to the system clipboard.
An important thing you should keep in mind is that Archive password has an important weakness, namely when it is running in the background and you activate it from the system's memory there is no prompt for providing the login credentials. This means that if someone gets a hold of your phone in the above mentioned situation, all the data stored inside the app is exposed.

Bottom Line
Design / UI2
The GUI of this application is unappealing and lacking a bit of order in the structuring of the content, so it can barely score a couple of points here. |
Function2
The ease of use is no enough to compensate with the lack of functions and for the essential security flaw that may disclose all the information stored inside Archive password. |
Security2
Not only is it lacking protective measures for the content it is supposed to keep secure, but this app is very intrusive and needs to access virtually all the system areas, so it is better to avoid it from this perspective. |
Battery8
The resource consumption is relatively low, so the reduced battery usage is one of the few positive aspects that can be mentioned in relation to this utility. |
Price2
Archive password is not really worth your time, unless you want to store some unimportant logins, that might as well be public. |
Compatibility9
Those who are brave enough to want to take this app for a spin can do so on any Windows Phone device that is powered by version 7.5 or higher of the operating system. |
