All Passwords 1.7.0.0
For those who want to keep logins and account details safe onto their Windows Phone devices it might be worth trying out All Passwords, a dedicated utility that offers some neat features inside a friendly GUI.
Cool looks and practical front-end
This app offers a pretty nice appearance, with very well designed graphics and some befitting backgrounds that make the whole experience quite pleasant form the visual perspective.
Navigating among the various sections and menus of the app is straightforward and without any delays or other glitches. The functions and commands are all placed at hand, so you can create new items and edit them with minimal efforts.
Add passwords and logins on the fly
There is only one built-in folder, called "General", where you can store your passwords, but it is possible to create other containers from the main screen of the application. There is a catch to this, though, because adding folders is a locked feature that requires a payment to become available.
All Passwords offers a straightforward method of adding and taking care of your credentials, so you should have no problems in adding the necessary information and then editing or disposing of any entries if needed.
Thus, you can choose one of the available categories and, for each item you add as new, simply type in the required info in the corresponding data fields.
Depending on the type (category) of entry you want to create, different details are requested, so the application seems pretty versatile from this point of view.
Protection options and backup abilities
When it comes to securing the access to the utility, the app uses a numeric code, but you have the possibility to create really complex combinations with only 5 numeric fields.
More precisely, All Passwords allows you to add in each box any number from 0 to 99 and thus you can make 10-digit passkeys that are rather hard to bypass.
The neat safe box appearance of the login screen gives the application the look and feel of a real safe. However, the password reset procedure can be carried out by anyone, so if someone cannot get in your vault they can completely erase its contents and create a lock of their own, which means this feature is not so good to have.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The interface is nice looking, with cool graphics and carefully drawn icons in every section, so it scores very well here. |
Function5
The feature set is pretty basic, with a plus for the custom forms that are adapted to each type of new entry, but the reset procedure that can be carried out by anyone is a major flaw. |
Security10
Discreet and well-behaved while running, All Passwords doesn't go anywhere near any secure system area. |
Battery4
The utility consumes a lot of energy to run properly, which makes the battery usage considerable at all times. |
Price9
Unlocking the application in order to enjoy its complete feature set needs a payment, so the overall value is a bit affected. |
Compatibility10
Ready to run on handsets powered by at least Windows Phone 7.5, this utility doesn't have any special requirements. |
