There are many ways one can travel in a busy city, including by car, by bus, motorcycle or scooter. There’s also the more eco-friendly option of taking your bike for a ride. Of course, this often makes it easier to reach your destination since getting stuck in traffic is something out of a horror movie in most cities. There’s also the bonus of it being healthier for you to get the exercise you need on your way to and from work.

The weather is not always right for biking, however, and there are plenty of things that affect your chances of going out and about on two wheels. The app will display the temperature for the day, the precipitation chances and the wind speeds, determining whether or not you can take the bike for a spin.

Perfect for biking

If everything is ok, then a bike symbol appears to the left of the list; if not, then you’ll notice a car there. The app provides the forecast for the next 9 days, so you should remember to check back every once in a while, since the weather can change rapidly.

Tapping on any of the entries will make the app focus on that particular day. Then, you’ll get to see whether it’s best to go biking at 10 AM or at 4 PM since the app displays the forecast hour by hour for the time interval you picked in the Settings area.

Talking of which, the app’s settings are hidden under the hamburger button on the top right corner. There, you can express your weather preferences, starting with the minimum and maximum temperatures. The precipitation chances are also a factor, as well as the wind speeds. As mentioned, it’s also possible to tell the app that you only want to get data about the chances you have to go out on your bike in a specific time interval.

Unit changes

The default units are set to Fahrenheit and miles, but if you set up the city you live in manually and tap the save icon, it will go to Celsius and meters if those are the units most used in your area. And truth be told, if you live outside the United States, they probably are.
 
This is a really nice and simple app, providing you a quick assessment of the weather conditions so you know whether it’s ok to take the bike for a ride or not.
