If you aren’t sure what you want in life, an app by Goro Sato promises to solve that mystery for you once and for all. It doesn’t come with a disclaimer because apparently it’s meant to be taken seriously. We’re not here to judge, but it should be noted that there’s no scientific basis for this tool. So in case you accidentally choose a word that doesn’t mean anything, don’t sweat it.

Positive words mingling with random letters

That’s basically the whole UI. Just carefully chosen words like “intelligence,” “honesty,” “love,” and “success” inserted among some random letters to make it harder to spot them. But it’s not that hard, really, and quite frankly everybody wants those things in life, not just one person or another. But hey, we said we wouldn’t judge.

Also on the visuals topic, the interface is blunt and hasn't been optimized for new-gen hardware.

Don’t be superstitious

This is the kind of app that makes a superstitious person go berserk. Wanting to choose “power” and instead missing the “p” and the “r” to just select “owe” is enough to get this person thinking: “Am I secretly owing someone?” Jokes aside, yes it’s really easy to miss dragging the selector across an entire word, and so you can end up with any combination of letters that may or may not mean something.

At the end of the day, 3 Things You Want in Life is just a simple and fun app that might actually work for some people. Who knows, maybe your eyes will stop on the first three things you really want in life. Maybe it will even give you more motivation to go after those things.
