Electronic Arts has just released the Titanfall companion application for those addicted to the multiplayer shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment, the same team that co-created most of the Call of Duty titles.

The companion application is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms, which is unusual. Android and iOS platforms are the first to receive these apps, while Windows Phone users have to wait for weeks, sometimes even months to be able to get them.

The Titanfall companion app provides users with notifications on the latest news and updates for Titanfall. The application is also stuffed with all sort of information about the game’s universe, from weapons to characters and maps.

But when you connect your smartphone to an Xbox One console, other features kick in. For example, you will be able to use your phone as a second-screen and see the map of the game you’re playing in full screen and real time.

Users can also view the live scoreboard that updates in real time as the game progresses or zoom in and out to focus on certain areas of the map.

You can now download Titanfall Companion app for free via Windows Phone Store or Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8, Android 4.0, as well as iOS 6.0 and up.
