Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC has made official a new flavor of its HTC One (M8) smartphone, a limited edition built in collaboration with design power house PHUNK.

Unfortunately, only 64 units of the aforementioned HTC One (M8) PHUNK Studio smartphone will be produced, it seems.

The handset vendor has also confirmed that PHUNK and the design team at HTC have been working together for the release of the new device, and that they have explored “the ideas of Wonderment, taking inspiration from surroundings, culture and the society in which we live.”

The same as the already existing versions of the smartphone, the new HTC One (M8) PHUNK limited edition arrives on shelves with a high-resolution 5-inch screen, as well as with a sophisticated metal unibody.

Moreover, the handset will sport the HTC Sense 6 user interface loaded on top of the Android operating system, with features such as HTC BlinkFeed, the new Duo Camera and the HTC UltraPixel sensor, and more.

According to HTC, the partnership with PHUNK builds on the success that HTC's previous limited edition handsets have enjoyed, including the one released in collaboration with British fashion designer David Koma.
