Microsoft has just released yet another beta version of Facebook for Windows Phone devices. Those who already have the application installed on their devices will be prompted to update to Facebook Beta 5.2.3.1 and although there aren’t many new features included, some bugs may have been fixed in this version.

Unfortunately, the Redmond-based company did not release an official changelog along with the latest update for Facebook Beta. However, the folks over at WMPoweruser point out that the new update brings support for customized notification sounds.

Aside from this new major feature, some bug fixes and under the hood improvements are expected to be included as well, but given the fact that Microsoft hasn’t issued an official changelog, we can’t tell yet which bugs have been addressed.

Those who wish to try out the new notification sound feature included in this beta version can now download Facebook Beta for Windows Phone 5.2.3.1 for free via Softpedia. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up.

Keep in mind though that you might experience lags and random freezes while running this version of Facebook, so we recommend only those who are into testing stuff to download this beta app.
