A number of phones on the market, including Google Pixels, have an integrated squeeze function that allows users to bring up the Assistant or access other features. The SideSqueeze 2 brings this option to weather-sealed Galaxy phones built after 2017.

The application makes of the barometric pressure sensor to determine if the users are pressing or squeezing the phone. Six types of squeezing actions are supported, along with three detectable press types, such as single, long, and two-finger.
