In version 2.40 you will find the user interface for the Trainer Challenge has received a update. This interface has been re-envisioned to better fit with conventions established with the Tutorial update included in 2.39.
The 4-star scoring system for each trainer has been simplified. Progress is now based on the number of different theme decks used to defeat the trainer, rather than the accumulation of points received by a variety of the actions taken during the match.
A trainer’s difficulty system is now based on the number of stars earned on a trainer, rather than being manually selected prior to the start of the match. Each star you earn makes the trainer harder to defeat the next time you play them.
4-Star each trainer for a booster pack.
Complete each league for three booster packs.
Win 7 times with the granted theme decks to unlock them.
Win 12 times with all other theme decks for a booster pack.
Your current progress in the Trainer Challenge will carry over from version 2.39 to version 2.40.
Unowned theme decks are now automatically opened when received for the first time. This will allow players to go straight to playing their new theme deck without having to first visit the Collection and open them.
Additional copies of owned theme decks are received unopened.
Unopened theme decks that are not trade locked can now be included in Public and Private trade offers.
In addition to the above refinements, we also have a number of bug fixes that are included in version 2.40. This includes the correction to Volcanion-EX.
