Online Radio 1.12
One of the apps that could help you get connected to multiple stations is Online Radio. It's filled with some tools and features, but it's definitely not one of the top apps on the market. It sports a dated UI that could use many improvements.
Dated interface that needs more features
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient considering that new users usually need some tips to get a better overview of a new app. It doesn't have material design or a side menu with quick access to its sections.
The app doesn't come with a settings menu, which means that you can't make any changes to its interface or the app's functions. The app doesn't really have that many tools, it sports a really simplistic layout and it doesn't need online registration.
Listen to all sort of radio stations
It launches simply with a radio playing and some controls on the bottom of the screen. It doesn't have controls in the notification bar or the lock screen. The app takes a while to load stations and it comes with some options of changing them.
All stations available inside the app are arranged into multiple categories, you can pick from various genres like alternative, classical, country, rock, dance, hip-hop and more.
You can listen to talk-shows, the news, songs in the top 40, jazz and even Latin. Each of the station on the network has a rating, depending on how well it works.
More features and tools
The app could use some more filters for finding stations faster, like a search bar for typing in keywords and finding stations faster. It takes a while to detect which song is playing on the network and sometimes it doesn't manage to display it.
It could also use the option to check out stations based on their location. There's the option to share stations with friends on social networks or to randomly browse through them by tapping on the next button.
You can also add your own station, all that you need to do is provide the address and the name. Out of all radio apps that we've tested, this one seems to have the least useful features and tools.
