Mindroid
It helps you relax, meditate and it can also be useful if you have sleeping problems. It comes with a really intuitive interface with lots of tools at hand that make it easy to navigate through the app's functions and get the most out of it.
Intuitive interface with lots of tools at hand
The app launches with a very comprehensive tutorial that shows users how to access its features and provides some explanations behind the app's functions.
The first thing that you'll see inside the app is a warning, it shouldn't be used by users suffering any epileptic or cardiac symptoms. The app is an auditory visual stimulation device for Android, it plays sounds and videos that help users concentrate better.
It provides each of your brain hemispheres with a signal (audible and visual) with a slightly different frequency in order to stimulate your brain waves. It's aim is to induce either relaxation, meditation, productivity, improved learning or sleep state of your mind, depending on the selected program.
Select programs and use the app to the fullest
The app comes with material design and you can browse through settings using the side menu on the left. You'll need to pick from multiple options and adjust the volume of the sound from the settings menu.
There's also the option of changing the duration, from a minimum of 5 minutes to up to 9 hours. You can change senses and have the app only enable audio-visual sounds and videos. There's also the option of changing the color in the background.
More features and tools
You can have the app only display content in landscape mode and enable the full backlight feature. It;s best if you use it with headphones, as developers say this would make it more effective.
In addition, it comes integrated with Google Cardboard and you can use it with external glasses. Depending on the mode that you select, the app lets you pick from multiple sounds that you can apply like fireplace, night sounds or mountain stream.
It simply displays flashing lights on your screen, but beware as the app can give you a serious headache if you look at the lights for too long. It has a mode that could hep with sleeping problems, but you'll have to upgrade to the premium version in order to access it.
