Hootsuite for Twitter & Social

The internet is filled with all sort of social networking platforms that help users connect with friends and share information online. However, each of them has separate apps and if you're a fan of multiple networks they might take over all of your storage space and cause users to waste time. Hootsuite for Twitter & Social could prove quite useful for just this if only it worked properly and let users connect multiple accounts to it.

Fluent interface that has some flaws

Considering the high number of Android apps, users are looking for both a fluent and sleek interface that has material design, and a seamless experience. While Hootsuites has a nice design with all the needed tweaks, it lacks when it comes to the tools that it offers.

A side menu gives users access to all the sections, but you won't be able to view it until you actually register with one or more social accounts. Use your Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare or Linkedin accounts. Google+ isn't yet available inside the app.

Manage multiple accounts

The app has trouble letting users connect more than one account, but that depends on the type of phones you're using. Twitter works just fine, while Hootsuite says that Facebook was connected but it's not available for use.

It fails to connect to Linkedin and Foursquare, even if you try multiple times. Still, if you manage to connect with Facebook, you won't be able to view your newsfeed so you aren't missing much.

Hootsuite is optimized for Twitter, you can write posts fast, check out your mentions, message box, tweets and even schedule posts, but that is also troublesome. Statistics of your account are also available, the app provides you with a way to shrink links.

Some settings

The app is free and doesn't come with any ads, but it provides users with the option to add up to 50 social networks, get enhanced analytics or collaborate with team members.

But in order to do so, you'll have to upgrade to the premium version for 12.07$ per month or 98.04$ per year. You'll also be able to turn off promoted tweets and other ads and other pro features on the hootsuite.com website.

In addition to that, you can adjust the interval during which the app would check if you have new messages. You can also adjust the resolution of inages to be uploaded or have the app start on boot. Hootsuite lets you select the ringtone or have your phone vibrate when new messages arrive.
