Many social networks have launched their own Android app and since the market is continuously expanding, more and more developers are turning to this type of applications.

One of such social networking apps is Chatous. It's an easy-to-use app but users should know that it poses lots of privacy issues and users can share pictures freely so you might come across content that you might not like.

Simplistic interface with only a few features at hand

The app launches with a presentation of the app and all the tools that you might find inside. The first thing that you need to do inside the app is register with an account. You can use your Facebook account or an email address.

It's somewhat of a dating app since you'll need to provide your gender and age. Only users that are 18 or older can register inside the app. It doesn't really have a menu, so you can't make any changes to the UI and the app's functions.

Meet new people

The whole concept behind this app is to connect with new people from all over the world and share pictures or videos. The content that you share is available for only 10 seconds, afterward it's deleted from the app.

However, during this time the other user can always take a screenshot and save the image to their phone. In this regard, the app resembles Snapchat but it has fewer features.

The app finds matches based on your location, age preferences and topics that they're interested in. Therefore, you'll need to type in at least 5 topics and complete your profile so the app could find matches for you. The app comes with notifications, but if you tap on them nothing happens and the app doesn't open.

More features

It scans users and displays the profile of your match, complete with pictures, topics and a short bio. You can also friend users, but be vary careful since there's no option to unfriend them, only to block them.

You can use emojis in your messages and the app lets you share all sort of content like pictures, videos from your gallery or YouTube. There's also the option to video chat with users, but keep in mind that the app would need some enhanced security issues. In addition, an account isn't created unless you add your email address, which won't be visible to other users.
