One of such other applications is Album Art Grabber. It's a simplistic application that could use some more tools and features to make it more appealing to users.
Simplistic UI that needs an upgrade
The app simply launches with the home screen displaying a list of all albums found on your device. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a tutorial or a presentation which would have been really useful as it could provide some insight on how the app works.
It also lacks material design and it doesn't have a side menu with quick access to its sections. In fact, the UI seems quite simplistic and it only has a toolbar on the bottom of the screen with access to some features.
Download album art for your music
The app doesn't take long to scan your device and display folders with all of your music files. It even shows folders with your ringtones and notification sound. Simply tap on the folder to open some options. You can find album art on LastFM, MusicBrainz or add pictures from your gallery.
Next, you'll have to let the app search by artist or album. In either case, users would have to type in the name of the artist and then tap on search in order to find images. Simply pick the image from the list and wait for the app to add it to your folder. There's also a feature that grabs pictures automatically by searching for ID3 tags.
Some flaws
You will only be able to add album art to folders, so music on your phone must be really well organized so that the app could work efficiently. In addition, it has a settings menu so you can make some changes to the app's functions.
There's the option to automatically save album art to your SD card, but this feature might overwrite any existing album art files. In addition, you can have the app automatically try to find album art every time a new album is added to your device.
The app comes with all sort of ads but you can purchase the premium version if you wish but it costs 2.29$ which is a bit steep. All in all, it's a nice app but not very useful and it takes a while to fetch album art. Moreover, images that it takes off the internet have a low resolution which is quite noticeable in music players.
