Worldstar Hip Hop 2.6.4
Simplistic and dull interface
Not everybody may have heard about worldstar.com, so you'd expect the app to be more informative on contents streamed on the website. But it's not.
Worldstar is a platform where people can upload various videos from the hip-hop world and watch clips with breaking news or the latest music videos. The app doesn't come with any instructions, but has all the sections found on the website neatly arranged on the left side of the screen.
Videos divided into categories
Worldstar makes it easy to watch various videos by using the left side menu. While clips aren't really arranged into categories, there are some sections to choose from. You can browse through all videos and see which were recently added. There's the option of favoriting clips directly from the section and see the view count.
Users also have the option of searching for videos, by simply using the search bar. Other than watch videos, there's nothing much you can do on this app, there aren't any articles and it doesn't provide you with notifications as to when new content is added.
In addition, it has trouble playing some videos or takes a lot of time to load others. The app also lets you create your own videos by selecting clips or shooting new ones. Preview and submit them to Worldstar Hip Hop.
Watch various videos
Tap on a clip to watch and sign in with Facebook, Twitter or Google to share it with friends. The comments section lets you discuss on topics, but some of the comments are uncensored. Other than that, you can follow uploaders and see videos that they're recently published.
Worldstar also has a shop section with all sorts of items you can buy, from tanktops to headwear. However, only the men's section is currently available. Prices aren't steep so you'll surely find something you like there. The candy section is filled with R-rated videos, making this app unsuitable to younger users.
