World Atlas 3.2.3
You can view maps, read up on the currency and spoken language in many countries, check out photo galleries and more. It's quite easy-to-use and very useful, especially if you're interested in the subject.
Sleek interface with plenty of feature at hand
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions for new users, but you really wouldn't need any since it has a really intuitive UI. It uses material design with a side menu on the left and lots of features to choose from.
It launches directly with the section featuring countries and their flags in thumbnails, swipe the screen to change the continent and region. Type in keywords to find whichever country or capital you wish, using the search bar on the top of the screen. The overflow icon features some options, including a help section that explains some features inside the app.
Check out lots of capitals and countries
You can also access the section with capitals, they're arranged alphabetically simply scroll down to find the one that interests you the most. You can also search by territories.
Tap on one icon to view information on the capital and the country. You can check out the map of the capital and country, get detailed information on the total population, currency, official languages, ethnic groups, government administration, area, GDP and more. There's also a section with top stories, one with the official flag, Olympics data and the current data, imported from accuweather.com.
More features
The app integrates with tripadvisor to provide users with detailed information on average prices for hotel rooms and meals at restaurants. You can also check out the section with information from WikiTravel.
All information displayed inside the app is imported from wikipedia.com, causing the app to lag a bit. You can also check out the section with statistics and the app comes with several quizzes that you can take, divided by difficulty.
You can change the way in which lists are displayed on the screen, change the default map and customize screens. Have the app use high-definition flag images, but be careful because this feature takes up more features.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The interface is quite nice, with a side menu featuring access to all sort of sections inside the app as well as settings. |
Function8
It lags a bit, but that's only because it imports lots of information from wikipedia.com and other related websites. |
Security9
It only needs access to a few areas of your phone, so you don't need to worry about the app draining your resources. |
Battery3
Consumption is really high so keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price8
It's not completely free, it has some annoying ads that can be removed only if you upgrade to the premium version for 4.79$. |
Compatibility7
It should work on devices running Android version 4.0 or later, making the app available for many users. |
It's a nice app but it needs some improvements.
