While Android offers a default method for switching between apps, after using many programs it becomes harder to manage them. Task Switcher is a small utility that will help you in this respect.

Easy-to-use GUI that packs many options

Using Task Switcher is as easy as it gets. The app overrides the default functionality of the home button and, instead of taking you to the home screen, it displays the list of running apps. A second tap on the button will take you to the home screen. To switch between tasks, you need to simply tap on the app's icon. Fast and convenient.

Task killer and manager in one app

In addition, the program doubles as a task killer, allowing you to close an app by long tapping on its icon. There's also an option to close all running apps to free up memory when needed.

And that's not all. You can also use Task Switcher as a launcher to quickly start your favorite apps. After selecting them from the settings screen, they will be displayed the same way as running apps, but with visual indicators to differentiate them from the rest. And, if you thought it can't get any better, you can also add your mostly used widgets to the mix.
