Shape'd is a nice app that lets you cut out your photos with different geometric shapes so that you can share them on Instagram or your favorite social network.
Sleek and well-structured interface
We've tested our fair share of photography apps and concluded that a stylish and sleek interface is really important, as it can make the difference between a good and popular app, and a bad one.
The UI is quite nice, with three sections on the home page and banner ads which take away the focus from the app and ruin its whole appearance. Shape'd only comes with a few tips, letting new users discover features on their own and without a tutorial. It doesn't have a menu with settings, which means that edited pictures are saved in the app's own directory.
Cut shapes out of your pictures
The app lets you enhance your pictures and change focus to what actually matters by cutting shapes out of your pictures. Still, it needs an external app to access and import your pictures.
You can also snap pictures instantly and connect with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to support the app. Once the photo was imported, you can select the section which you'd like to modify inside the app.
Choose from a whole variety of shapes, including of animals, geometrical figures, ornaments, Christmas, arrows or love. Tap on the figure to place on the picture perfectly.
Add text and make changes to the background
The app also lets you make changes to the background, by selecting the color and transparency. It shows you a preview of the image, so you can adjust settings. In addition, users can rotate pictures, invert the shape or return to the original picture.
Also, you can add text to pictures and make some changes to that, like pick the font color, size and style. When you're done you can save pictures and share them with friends on social networks. The app keeps the original quality of the picture, but it doesn't let you choose the output format and automatically saves images as .png.
