Highly customizable UI
The app's interface seems a bit dated with a utility feel to it and it could use some more color. Still, it comes with some onscreen instructions for users to read, but lacks a tutorial. Screen Off and Lock has two icons for the home screen, the actual lock screen icon and the one that includes configuration options.
To make it more accessible to users, the app comes with a shortcut in the notification area, simply tap on it for the screen to turn off and lock your device. The app comes with plenty of animation to enjoy and in different languages, making it accessible to many users.
Turn off your screen with the tap of one finger
The app has a section that includes frequently asked questions, providing users will tips on adjusting the app to their preferences. Instead of using the power button and potentially wearing it down, the app helps you turn off your screen by tapping on one icon.
You can also use the search button, if your device has one. Resizable widgets and a floating button over apps are available only in the paid version. However, users must check instructions before trying to uninstall it, as the app needs to be deactivated as a device administrator.
Lock your phone with animation and sounds
Instead of simply turning the screen black, Screen off and lock uses animation. There's a long list to choose from, you can have the app display TV static, rotate or swipe the screen and if you're not sure what to select, there's a preview button that can be quite useful.
The app can be set to display random animation whenever the screen turns off. Users can choose from 5 lock sounds or use their own custom one. There's also the option of using a screen unlock sound and set different volume levels for the two features. Moreover, your phone can be set to vibrate whenever animation starts.
