RetroSelfie 1.5.7
RetroSelfie is one of such apps, except it also comes with numerous functionality issues that make it almost impossible to use, despite the fact that millions of users already gave it a try.
Ordinary interface, it differs by the sole fact that it has banners of a different color
The app doesn't come with any sort of tutorial or instructions for new users, but you shouldn't really have to worry about that since it resembles other editors on the market.
The app loads with a popup ad, in fact ads will prove to be quite troublesome when using this app in the sense that it will block you from using basic features inside the app. It doesn't have a settings menu, which means that you can't pick the destination folder or the format and image quality of output files.
Take pictures or load them from the gallery
The app gives you the option to import pictures from various accounts, including Google+, Drive, Instagram or Facebook. You can also load them from your gallery and access your last taken pictures directly from the app.
However, if you snap a picture using the camera the app won't be able to load it in the editor and it will only open the last image from your gallery, but not the one that you've just snapped.
Edit pictures
but don't expect to save them
Once you've opened the image, you can start editing it. Use the basic features inside the app to crop images, adjust brightness, contrast and saturation. You can also adjust sharpness and the warmth of pictures. However, the performance of photo editors is judged by the uniqueness of their filters and effects.
RetroSelfie only offers a few and it doesn't have any textures or overlays for images. Frames and stickers must be downloaded, but you can draw or add text to your pictures.
The app has difficulty saving pictures, in fact whenever you wish to save an image it loads a popup ad and a message to rate it. There's no confirmation that it was saved, but there's the option to share the picture on social networks. Most of the times, it fails to save the image on your device.
